From Barry:
I hope you enjoy these, and thank you for coming along the journey! Some of these photos have never been released before, and the one or two that have were only released via the crowdfunding pitch video from a little while ago. For the first time, these photos have been added to this photo gallery for you to see there!
I believe these photos are from when we were still keeping the title Cape Wonder as secret.
You might even notice a photo that had storyboard frames in it we were using, and the storyboard has been blurred out...because of course it has!
In this photo captured before a take you see above and in the gallery, I thought captured everyone on set well, and you even slightly see me in costume in the reflection of the camera.
For me, right now, what makes these photos so important is that these are from the first day of production as a team as mentioned, and in a few months, we will be coming up on a year from when we first started this journey of physical production when these photos and memories were captured. The script, storyboards, all the planning, etc., came long before that by a few years I believe.
Even though this is my first feature-length film that is being turned into a film (I've written many feature-lengths in the past, and even entered heavy pre-produciton on some, but this is the first that we actually have rolled cameras on), the length of time, and effort, this is taking is definitely expected. It is certainly difficult, especially navigating new responsibilities outside of my film work, but it is all a challenge I am grateful to have. It is a journey I am very happy and thankful to be on.
I am thankful, and feel extremely lucky, for this growing team for helping to turn the film into a reality! I hope these photos help highlight their talent, effort, contribution, and frankly the joy we all seem to be having while making this. I'm very grateful!
Sincerely,
Barry
